Mory's Temple Bar
The Challenge
Mory’s Temple Bar, a historic private club in New Haven, CT, required a modern audio-visual upgrade without affecting its architecture. Wireless Sonos speakers, soundbars, and a microphone system were installed, providing superior sound and seamless audio coverage without invasive wiring. Temple Bar is a century-old building with intricate woodwork and historic architecture.
The club wanted to upgrade its audio-visual system with better sound and more flexibility for events but did not want to compromise the building's structure by running new wires. The challenge was to provide high-quality sound in the bar, dining areas, and outdoor spaces without the possibility of traditional wiring methods due to the building's historical significance.
The Solution
Mory’s Temple Bar underwent a comprehensive wireless audio upgrade to modernize its entertainment systems while preserving the integrity of its historic building. The installation included TVs equipped with Sonos soundbars in the bar area, providing enhanced sound quality that cuts through the ambient noise of a busy bar. AppleTVs were also installed, allowing the club to eliminate traditional cable services and embrace streaming content.
Sonos Era 300 wireless speakers were placed throughout the dining room and front bar area, delivering high-quality sound without the need for intrusive wiring. On the patio, outdoor speakers powered by a Sonos amp extended the audio experience to outdoor spaces, ensuring consistent sound coverage throughout the venue.
Additionally, wireless microphone systems connected via Sonos Ports were installed, allowing for easy, flexible audio streaming to any speaker in the building. This setup enables Mory’s to host multiple events at once, such as a guest speaker in one room and trivia night in the bar, without the need for complicated setups or manual intervention. The result was a modern, easy-to-use audio solution perfectly tailored to the needs of this historic venue.
